An immersive audio and visual experience is taking over the Carré d’Or car park this month

“Wisdom and Light” is a multi-sensory experience celebrating the life and career of Venerable Master Hsing Yun.

Experience the extraordinary journey and vision of Venerable Master Hsing Yun, founder of Fo Guang Shan, one of the largest Buddhist organizations in the world, all told through state-of-the-art projection technology. A totally immersive projection and multisensory experience, as well as an interactive calligraphic writing activity, this 90-minute experience will take over the Carré d’Or car park for the month of September.

Journey into the art of one-stroke calligraphy in this breathtaking exhibit chronicling the technique, life, and influence of Master Hsing Yun. With rare and valuable calligraphy in the adjacent gallery, it is a captivating celebration of the life and works of artist and teacher.

With the roof adorned with illuminated flowers, climb the stairs to the top of the parking lot to view the Lotus Flower Shrine. Indulge in a range of dishes on offer at the Wisdom and Light Cafe, where vegetarian specialties are served by former Melbourne chef Nobu.

“I have a basic image in my mind, with so many characters that I have to write in one stroke,” says Venerable Master Hsing Yun, “I cannot stop, because if I stop, where can i continue? So I thought to myself, this is one-stroke calligraphy.

This 90-minute experience is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. It’s open all month – with a season from September 1 to October 2.
