A moderately shallow 4.2 magnitude earthquake was reported late overnight near Praya, ID.17.Lombok (undefined), West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia.
According to the Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics, the earthquake struck on Friday, October 1, 2021 at 10:02 p.m. local time at a moderately shallow depth of 47 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter and depth of the quake could be revised in the coming hours or minutes, as seismologists review the data and refine their calculations, or when other agencies release their report.
A second report was then released by the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC), which also listed it as a magnitude 4.2 earthquake.
