Earthquake 4.2 21 October 01:53 (GMT +7)

The Indonesian Agency for Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics reported a 4.2 magnitude earthquake in Indonesia near Pelabuhanratu in West Java just 13 minutes ago. The earthquake struck early in the morning of Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 1:53 a.m. local time at a shallow depth of 11 km. The exact magnitude, epicenter and depth of the quake could be revised in the next few hours or minutes, as seismologists review the data and refine their calculations, or when other agencies release their report.
Our monitoring service identified a second report from the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) which also listed the 4.2 magnitude earthquake.
Cities near the epicenter where the quake could have been felt as very weak tremors include Pelabuhanratu (population 43,000) located 93 km from the epicenter.
